The Northern Interior Communities Association (NICA) is hiring for the position of
Coordinator. The position is fulltime, flexible and a great opportunity for a self starter.
Effective communication with board of directors, charities, members and government. Manages Board of Directors correspondence and support, travel and expenses Website maintenance and support Prepares meetings, workshops, research and relatable duties. Assist charities in completing Community Gaming Grant applications and relatable concerns. Has an understanding of grants and funding in the non-profit, government and charity sectors. Answers the phone, correspondence and email for the Association. Stays current with government changes and announcements regarding gaming policy Basic bookkeeping and office procedures.
Skills required:
Effective communicator, highly organized and detail oriented. A good critical thinker. Must be familiar with not for profits and Boards of Directors. Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Personable, able to communicate effectively with a large number of charities and Board members. Competent in using a variety of computer programs including Word, Excel, Simply Accounting and able to maintain the association website. Able to carryout presentations independently. General office day to day operations and experience.
Employment requirements:
Completion of secondary school or GED is required. Experience in non-profit, administrative, and office administration is preferred. Willingness to travel to provide workshops and one on one sessions.
